James H. Morgan, D.O. is a native of South Carolina where he attended the University of South Carolina. He later moved to Kansas City to attend medical school at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. It was then on to Atlanta, Georgia for internship and returned to Kansas City for his residency. After completion of the residency he served as a Lt. Commander in the United States Public Health Service and was assigned to the Indian Health Service in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In 1991, Dr. Morgan returned to Kansas City to join Heartland Women’s Health Care, now Meritas Health Pavilion for Women.
Since his return to Kansas City, Dr. Morgan has been involved in community activities as well as being very involved with North Kansas City Hospital. He has served on numerous committees including the Medical Records, Surgical Advisory, OR Subcommittee and many ad hoc committees. He was the division chairman of the Maternal Child Sub-committee and an active member of the North Kansas City Hospital Medical Executive Committee from 2007-2013.
Dr. Morgan enjoys traveling, restoring antique autos and is an accomplished woodworker. He has two grown daughters living on the east coast in Washington, D.C. and Raleigh, N.C.
