As an obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Lovitt provides all aspects of healthcare for women of any age, with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery, including robotics. He enjoys being a part of his patients’ growing families and strives to treat his patients as if they are family members.

Dr. Lovitt has many ties with North Kansas City Hospital. His wife, Collin J. Lovitt, DO, is a physician with Meritas Health Hospitalists. During medical school, he did rotations with obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, hospitalists, radiology and psychiatry. His father-in-law was a longtime radiologist at North Kansas City Hospital.
His interests outside of work include spending time with his wife and four young children, playing tennis, running and cheering on the Kansas City Royals. They live in the Northland.
Teaching or Professional Positions
After earning his bachelor's degree in zoology from the University of Wisconsin and a master's degree in molecular physiology from The College of William and Mary, Dr. Lovitt worked for three different pharmaceutical/biotech companies (MPEX, Sunesis and Genentech) in San Diego and San Francisco over eight years, where he investigated antibiotics and therapies for cancer and Parkinson's disease.
During his residency, he was the primary resident researcher for "Evaluation of Parameters Surrounding Hospital Re-admission for Postpartum Preeclampsia: A Retrospective Analysis" and a contributing resident for "Composite Neonatal Morbidity With Sonographic Estimate of Fetal Weight < 5% vs. 5-9% for Gestational Age: A Retrospective Analysis."
