Areas of Interest
Dr. Ward enjoys practicing general neurology, working with medical students and residents that rotate through neurology service, and derives great pleasure in educating patients and teaching medicine. She has extensive experience in the use of botulinum toxin (BOTOX) for treatment of migraine headaches, as well as other disorders. She is also trained in the use of vagal nerve stimulation for treatment of epilepsy. Other areas of interest include stroke, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Ward has spent the majority of her life in Missouri. She graduated from Raymore-Peculiar High School and received her B.S in Biology from Missouri Western State University before attending medical school where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. After completing her residency in neurology at she practiced medicine in Western Nebraska at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, until her return to Kansas City in 2004.
Dr. Ward is married and has three sons. When not working she enjoys writing, reading, watching movies and attending performing arts events.
Teaching or Professional Positions
Dr. Ward serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Neurology at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and a clinical assistant professor in the neurology department at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
