Meritas Health Platte City
Meritas Health Platte City (formerly Platte Medical Clinic) provides individualized care for acute and chronic illnesses, preventative care exams for all ages, well child care and immunizations, school and sports physicals. They also perform minor surgical procedures such as laceration repairs and lesion removal. Meritas Health Platte City was established in 1977 to provide continuing, comprehensive medical care to the citizens of Platte County, Missouri and the surrounding area. The clinic is staffed by three board-certified family physicians and a certified family nurse practitioner. The physicians and nurse practitioner provide personalized health care to all age groups, from newborns to the geriatric population.
On January 1, 1996, Platte Medical Clinic became part of Meritas Health Corporation. This relationship has allowed the practice to grow and improve its focus on providing patient-centered medical care. To more efficiently serve our patients, an electronic medical record is utilized to track, follow and act upon your healthcare needs.
Our physicians have staff privileges at North Kansas City Hospital where they personally round on their own patients. They also see patients regularly at several area nursing homes: New Mark Care Center, Hillview Nursing & Rehab, and Golden Living Center and are the medical directors at New Mark and Hillview. Dr. Myers has been granted the title of Certified Medical Director (CMD) of a long-term care facility by the American Medical Directors Association.
Questions regarding the medical status of our nursing home patients should be directed to the daytime charge nurse on the patient's unit at the nursing home. Our doctors are in each nursing home on a scheduled basis. They prefer to return calls while at the nursing home so they have access to the patient's medical record and can examine the patient if needed. If your inquiry is urgent, please call the office during office hours.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00am-7:00pm
Wednesday and Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm
