Meritas Health Pulmonary Medicine
Meritas Health Pulmonary Medicine Associates (formerly Pulmonary Medicine Associates) specializes in the treatment of lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pulmonary fibrosis. In addition, sleep disorders can be managed, which include sleep apnea and narcolepsy. To treat these diseases and disorders, noninvasive diagnostic respiratory testing such as pulmonary function testing, oximetry, and sleep testing are provided.
Our physicians work closely with your primary care physician and other specialists to develop a treatment plan than ensures the highest quality medical care that’s right for you. Our six board-certified physicians deliver the most up-to-date comprehensive care to meet your pulmonary needs.
Our clinic is located on the 6th floor of the Pavilion, located on the North Kansas City Hospital campus. Patient parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to the Pavilion.

After Hours/Weekend Calls
Should you need urgent medical care after hours, please call our office telephone number at 816.474.3700 to reach the on-call doctor. Medication refills will not be called into the pharmacy after hours or on weekends. You may also go directly to North Kansas City Hospital for evaluation and the hospital will contact the physician on-call.
All patients are seen by scheduled appointment. Same day appointments are often available for urgent problems. To schedule an appointment, call our office at 816.474.3700 and we will gladly help find an appointment time that is convenient for you.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time to get pertinent information entered into your medical record. Be sure to bring your insurance card and applicable copays or co-insurance amounts. Please arrange to have your medical records forwarded from your referring physician prior to your appointment. An updated list of medications should be brought to each office visit.
Prescription Refill Request
At your office visit, please be sure to inform us of any medicine refills you will need prior to your next visit. Should you require a refill on your current medication between appointments, please contact your pharmacy or mail order service and request a refill. Your pharmacist will contact our office for approval. Refills will only be provided during normal business hours. Narcotics will not be prescribed after hours.
