Supportive Care Clinic
Supportive Care focuses on improving the quality of life for patients and their families by reducing the physical and emotional burdens of illness through the expert knowledge of effective, evidence-based symptom management.
The Supportive Care Clinic at Meritas Health has specialty-trained experts who can assist you in pain and symptom management control. It’s a common misconception that Supportive Care is reserved only for patients who are facing end-life decisions. Although Supportive Care is oftentimes used to help patients in these critical times, the specialty-trained care team at Meritas Health can be consulted any time a patient’s condition(s) requires expert pain and symptom management.
Supportive Care providers have completed advanced training in one of several fields, including oncology, internal medicine, anesthesiology, geriatric medicine, palliative care, and family medicine. Dr. James Stoddard has received advanced training and is board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics and palliative medicine. Britny Sutulovich is an advanced registered nurse practitioner and has an advanced certification in palliative care.
