Dr. Kauk provides individualized care for acute and chronic illnesses, preventive care exams, immunizations and physicals.
Dr. Kauk was reared as a farmer along with four siblings in South Central Nebraska. His siblings continue to farm or raise cattle. His attendance in a small public school fostered his interest in medicine and science. His mother also worked for a local general practitioner, which helped increase his awareness and understanding of the practice of medicine.
While at the University of Nebraska, he developed a love of biochemistry, which was followed by medical school there and then residency training in Illinois. He joined North Kansas City Hospital in 1979, and says he watched it grow into a strong medical center.
Dr. Kauk and his wife, Jan, live in the Northland. They have two grown sons. One is an orthopedic trauma surgeon, and the other is an investment banker.
Dr. Kauk's interests outside of medicine are boating, skiing, gardening and supporting his wife in her community activities.
