Dr. Morgan specializes in female sexual medicine, menopause and general gynecology. He is the only certified menopause practitioner in the Northland.
Dr. Morgan is a native of South Carolina, where he attended the University of South Carolina. He then moved to Kansas City, where he received his medical training at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He then moved to Atlanta to complete his internship and returned to Kansas City for his residency in obstetrics and gynecology. After his residency, he served as a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service and was assigned to the Indian Health Service in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In 1991, Dr. Morgan returned to Kansas City to join Meritas Health Pavilion for Women.
Since his return to Kansas City, Dr. Morgan has been involved in community activities, as well as with North Kansas City Hospital. He has served on numerous committees, including the Medical Records Committee, Surgical Advisory Committee, Operating Room Subcommittee and many ad hoc committees. He was the division chair of the Maternal Child Subcommittee and an active member of the North Kansas City Hospital Medical Executive Committee in 2007-2013.
After many years and delivering thousands of babies, in December 2017 Dr. Morgan delivered his last baby. He now practices gynecology with a specialized interest in female sexual medicine and the management of menopause. He is one of only three certified menopause practitioners in Kansas City and the only one in the Northland.
Dr. Morgan, who is married and has two daughters and two stepsons, enjoys traveling with his wife, restoring antique automobiles and trucks, and woodworking.
