Area Of Interest

Dr. Hon is experienced in the use of botulinum toxin (BOTOX®) for treatment of migraine headache, as well as other neurological disorders including cervical dystonia, tremor and spasticity. Additionally, she is well experienced in peripheral neuropathy disorders and EMG. She also has training in vagal nerve stimulation for treatment of epilepsy. Other areas of interest include epilepsy, headache, stroke and multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Hon is a native Kansas Citian, graduating from William Jewell College with honors and summa cum laude from University of Health Sciences. She currently is chair of the North Kansas City Hospital Medical Records Committee and a member of the Medical Executive Committee, as well as president of the Board of the Greater Kansas City Regional Osteopathic Medical Association. She previously served as chair of the hospital’s Department of Medicine and chair of the Medicine Advisory Committee.

Dr. Hon and her husband live in the Northland. They have two children. In her spare time, Dr. Hon enjoys traveling, as well as singing and performing classical music. She has been a member of the Kansas City Symphony Chorus and has performed with Musica Vocale since 2008.

Dr. Hon is the clinical associate professor and chair of the neurology division at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB) and the clinical associate professor of neurology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
